Man dies after two-vehicle crash – Tweed/Byron PD

A man has died following a two-vehicle crash in the state’s north today.

About 10.20am (Tuesday 7 August 2018), emergency services were called to Kyogle Road, near Palmers Road, at Uki, about 45km south of Tweed Heads, following reports of crash involving a motorcycle and a truck.

The male rider died at the scene. He has not been formally identified.

The male truck driver was not injured.

Their ages are not known at this stage.

Officers from Tweed/Byron Police District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Traffic diversions are in place as Kyogle Road remains closed. Motorists are advised to check livetraffic.com for more information.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
